Are you happy at work? Here are some key signs to check!

Whether you are a businessman, office worker, or have another job, you probably spend about 8 hours a day at work. This means that of the time available, you spend about 63% of it at work, for most of your life. If you're going to spend a lot of time on something, it's best to make sure you're happy with what you're doing. When you want to make yourself happy, you have to find out what works for you. Once you figure that out, everything else will tend to fall into place. And making yourself happy doesn't just improve your performance; It's also good for your health. People who are happy at work are often more authentic, more engaged and motivated at work, and more willing to contribute beyond their job description; they also find more flow and meaning in their work.

And the question now is; are you happy at work? Here are some key signs that you are:

1. Time flies by and you lose yourself. You enter a flow state.

Flow is an almost transcendent state in which time no longer matters: what's in front of you is everything, and other worries and tasks fade away. This happens when you're doing something really fun (like playing a musical instrument you love) or when you're with someone you really care about. The same goes when you do a job you really love. As time passes, you look out the window, swearing the sun had just risen when you saw it was dark outside. And the best thing about the flow state: it feels good.

2. You feel like you are doing something of value. You feel fulfilled.

People feel happy when they are connected to others, as well as when they give or create something of value. It is not necessary to cure cancer (of course, that would be wonderful!); it could be simpler, like becoming a carpenter or building things that people want or need. Regardless of the job, you feel deeply grateful to be able to help and serve people. You feel like you're giving back and giving people your unique ideas, abilities, and talents. This is another thing that determines how a happy person lives their life and how you can also stay happy every day.

3. You are excited to wake up in the morning.

If you're not ready and excited to wake up in the morning, something might be wrong. Of course, everyone has off days. But if you're constantly dreading work, it might be time for a change. Whatever you do, you should stand up and hit the ground at full speed. This may involve focusing on something at work that you've never seen before, but that will motivate and excite you.

4. You do not complain.

A lot of people complain about their jobs. If you are constantly complaining, or you need to change your mindset (start appreciating what you have, e.g. are unemployed and having trouble paying your bills), your internal guidance might be showing you that you need to find another job that you enjoy more. Even in a job you love, there may be times when you complain about the workload or a boring job. But overall, you know these are small issues compared to the happiness that comes from doing what you love.

5. You’re Happy in Your Personal Life

Happiness in your career can have a significant positive impact on your personal life. When you're happy in your career, you're probably also happier in general. Conversely, if you've ever been in a toxic work situation, you know how terrible it can be and how it can completely undermine your health, both at work and outside of it. If your personal life is good, you will likely be happier in the workplace and have a much better quality of life.

6. Your co-workers and superiors are seen as partners with equal give and take.

When you see that the people you work with are more than just other agents in the office or people giving you reports to fill out, you've come to the right place. You should think of them as helpers with whom you can create something great. Maybe you're not the big boss who decides what it is, but you believe in what you're doing and you like getting to work and fighting with these people to make it happen.

7. You feel tired at the end of the day, but in a satisfied way

There's a difference between feeling tired because you've accomplished so much and tired because you struggled and screamed all day long using a lot of your willpower. If you feel successful, satisfied, happy and creating something valuable while working and making yourself tired, then you are doing well.
